About Patrick
While not offering any formal lessons, my experience at Bergen Community College led me to a path of leadership when I joined the college newspaper, The Torch. In my two years at BCC, I not only earned my Associates Degree, but I've also had the pleasure of becoming the Editor-in-Chief of The Torch and working as a notetaker. As the E.I.C. of The Torch, I've made countless leadership and editorial decisions that led to our writers and editors receiving several New Jersey Press Foundation awards in addition to me personally earning a club leadership award by the college. Both as an E.I.C. and notetaker, I've worked with several people including those with a language barrier or a disabiltiy.

My teaching approach is built heavily on communication. I don't want students to feel uncomfortable when presenting me with their academic struggles. As someone who had an I.E.P. (Individual Education Program), in school, I understand what a student goes through when they encounter something they cannot understand on their own. As a tutor, I plan to make an inclusive learning environment that addresses whatever problem a student is having with ease and precision.
