I am a Senior English major in college, who is looking to go for her master's to be an English Professor. I have worked as a writing consultant for about 5+ years and continue to advance my skills under various English Professors. My lessons consist of one-on-one learning time, where we walk through different ways to approach situations. When it comes to test prep, I walk my students through various study guides, and we discuss key details to aid them in good performance. As a student who has test anxiety, I work really well with students on powering through the anxiety and how to turn it into your best skill. When I am working on essays with students, we walk through their thought processes and bring their ideas to life through brightened language and detailed outlines. I always ask my students where they want to be before the lesson, and we reconvene at the end of the lesson to adjust.
