About Frances
I'm finishing up my English degree this semester and have been tutoring at my school and in the community for four years now. My main focus is English classes whether that be writing help or content review. As an English major, I have experience in all eras and types of literature and know what teachers are looking for in their papers. In my role at school, I've lead session of up to 40 students with great success and also work in one on one situations with the same effort and success.

I aim for each session to be a collaboration between me and the student. Whether it's looking over a paper or reviewing content I seek to make it a conversation between us rather than a lecture. I've found that this form of review or editing is the best for both of us. I can help them become a better writer by talking about what you're writing about and come up with ideas. Content-wise I've also found this to be the most effective way to teach because as we talk I can narrow in on what seems to be the problem and walk through that.
