About Johanna

Hi! I am Johanna and I am on super prof because I want to try and help anyone who is struggling with these exams as I know the content required for them as I have taken them myself! In school English in particular was something I always really enjoyed and excelled in and when I was preparing for my 11+ exams I had an amazing tutor who I feel really helped me to do well. It doesn't have to be such high pressure a lot of the content to learn in preparation is really interesting! Since the 11+ is supposedly an aptitude test there is no specific content that needs to be learnt but from experience, I know which preparation techniques I felt helped me and a lot of the test focus' on how your brain thinks. I have two younger siblings and my brother has just started year 7 after taking an 11+ exam and after helping him through some of the things I found helpful he did really well!

About the lesson

The 11+ is supposedly an aptitude test but there are ways to prepare. Especially with the verbal reasoning section as it is reasonably easy to tune your brain into making the links needed for these exams with a bit of help. I personally had a lot of pressure put on me to do well in the 11+ exams and because of this, I think it would be beneficial to keep a fun teaching environment whilst also getting helpful work done as an encouraging and interesting learning environment is proven to aid success.
