About David
My background is in History primarily, however, my fields of study, both academic and individual, are multidisciplinary. I was previously in the military (US Army, 13B), for those that are curious. I have been tutoring officially for the past 4 years, however, I have tutored both friends and family for as long as I can remember. My degree that I'm working towards is so I can teach in my local community.

My teaching approach is to cater the material to the individual learning it, meaning that since subjects are best understood by contrasting it with what they already know or have experienced, I frame the vernacular to suit their needs. This means that I can explain the same subject in two different ways with both individuals being able to comprehend the material from their own understanding, and therefore achieve proficiency at a faster rate.

Depending on the distance needed to travel, my rates may need to adjust to accommodate fuel expenses. That being said, I am always willing to work with families the best I can given their circumstances. My main goal is to make sure the student gets the information and tutoring they need.
