About Moneka
Learning should feel supportive, comfortable, and encouraging. I take the time to understand each student's individual needs and create lessons that are tailored to their current reading level and goals.
I am patient, dependable, and committed to helping students make real progress. Whether a student needs extra support with reading, comprehension, vocabulary, or simply wants to become a more confident reader, I provide a judgment-free environment where they can learn at their own pace.

My Teaching Method & Techniques
My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and personalized. I believe every student learns differently, so I adjust my lessons based on their reading level, learning style, and specific needs. I use guided reading, vocabulary development, comprehension questions, discussion, and practical exercises to help students understand what they are reading rather than simply memorize information.
Each lesson begins with a quick check-in or warm-up to identify what the student already understands. We then work through a reading passage or lesson together, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, comprehension, and key ideas. I encourage students to explain concepts in their own words and ask questions throughout the lesson. We finish by reviewing what they learned and identifying an area to practice before the next session.
I focus on building both skill and confidence. My goal is not just to help students read better, but to help them feel comfortable with reading and confident in their ability to learn. I create a supportive environment where students can make mistakes, ask questions, and improve without feeling judged.
My tutoring is designed primarily for elementary, middle, and high school students who need support with literacy and reading. I can also work with students who need help with reading comprehension, vocabulary, English fundamentals, homework, or improving their overall confidence.
