About PAM
I have a Ph.D. in English and have taught college writing and literature classes for more than twenty years both remotely, in-person, and wholly online. I have also mentored other teachers and tutored students on their writing. Over the years, I taught approximately 3000 students total and am very comfortable teaching and talking about writing and literature to students of all levels.

I am down-to-earth, hands-on, and accessible. Getting to know students and have them inform me what they want to accomplish in a session has always worked best for me. I do like looking at students' writing with the student in real-time, so we can jointly review the strengths and weaknesses of a particular piece of writing. I take a slightly different approach if tutoring literature, though I am still practical and hands-on.
