About Shaila
I am an English professor by profession and public speaker by passion. My credentials: 1. Former head of Dept of English, Maharaja's College, Kochi, Kerala 2. Worked as Senior HS teacher for 25 years in American Consulate School, Saudi Arabia; mentored thousands of students in India and abroad. 3. International presenter with more than 60 presentations to credit 4. First Female Distinguished Toastmaster, the highest award from Toastmasters International, in Saudi Arabia. 5. Devising curricula, training in speaking, presentations, and prep for writing are my specialties.

In my classes, you will have opportunities for discussion, debates, and presentations. With my toastmaster experience and expertise in teaching British literature & American literature in universities and American college prep schools in India and abroad, I offer exercises in developing your vocabulary, enunciation, pronunciation, and accent. I expect young adults (higher secondary and college level and aspirants to careers abroad) in my classes to be inspired to 'speak out' and write beautifully.
