About Sara

Hi! My name is Sara and I'm a tutor who is passionate about languages, literature, and theatre. I studied English Philology, and I’ve been teaching English and Spanish to students of all ages and levels. I believe learning a language should feel exciting and natural—not stressful or boring. In my lessons, I focus on real communication, building confidence, and making sure you enjoy the process. Whether we're chatting, reading, or working on grammar, I always try to keep things interesting and engaging. I love travelling and getting to know different cultures, and I often bring those experiences into the classroom. My background in theatre also helps me make lessons more expressive, interactive, and creative. I’m friendly, reliable, and always happy to adapt lessons to your needs. Whether you're a complete beginner or just want to polish your skills, I'm here to help you feel confident and make real progress.

About the lesson

As a qualified English philologist and native Spanish speaker, I offer engaging, personalised language lessons that focus on practical communication and a strong foundation in grammar and vocabulary. I design my classes to suit each student’s needs, whether you're looking to improve your speaking skills, prepare for exams, or build confidence in writing and reading. My approach is communicative and student-centred. I use real-life materials, interactive exercises, and conversation-based practice to help students use the language naturally and confidently. For beginners, I place extra focus on pronunciation and everyday phrases, while advanced learners benefit from deeper grammar, fluency, and cultural insights. Each lesson combines the four core skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—and is tailored to the student’s goals and learning style. I also offer bilingual explanations in Spanish when needed, especially helpful for beginner or Spanish-speaking students. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, though I can adapt the duration based on your schedule and preferences. Sessions can be held online or in person (if local), and I provide follow-up materials and optional homework to reinforce learning between classes. I hold a degree in English Philology and have 5 years of experience teaching both English and Spanish to students of all ages, from children and teenagers to adult learners. I’ve worked with individuals and small groups, including professionals, university students, and beginners. Who the Lessons Are For My lessons are suitable for: Children, teenagers, and adults Beginners to advanced language learners Spanish speakers learning English, or English speakers learning Spanish Anyone preparing for exams, job interviews, travel, or general fluency Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to refine your skills, I offer a friendly, professional, and supportive learning environment.
