About Faria
My roots lie in a remote town, Giridih situated in the state of Jharkhand, India where I was born and brought up. I have done my schooling from Carmel Convent School, Giridih. An affinity for Social Sciences and Literature persuaded me to take up BA honors in English at Miranda House, University of Delhi. Having served as a core member of Anukriti – The Hindi Dramatics Society of Miranda House, I am also acquainted with the role of performing arts in transforming an individual and working for the betterment of society. I am also a part of Women’s Development Cell, Miranda House, a community of young women that propels me to assess issues critically and advocate for the rights of women, gender minorities, Dalit and so on.
Teaching and imparting knowledge, for me, is more than a passion. It gives me immense pleasure to interact with young minds, teach them for better and to learn new things from them at the same time. This is how, I believe, miraculously beautiful teaching-learning process is. Henceforth, I would love to take you on board with me for an enthralling academic journey.

My teaching methodology aims at circumscribing the syllabus yet making the process intriguing and innovative at the same time. I teach to develop critical understanding and general awareness which I believe, are prerequisites in order to comprehend any subject. Afterall, young minds of today would eventually become leaders of tomorrow.
