About TJ
I am a native English speaker with a Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of tutoring experience working with students across a wide range of levels, from elementary school all the way through university. My deep familiarity with the English language, its grammar, structure, and nuances gives my students a genuine advantage, as I am able to explain concepts naturally and clearly rather than from a textbook alone.
Over the years, I have helped students strengthen their reading comprehension, writing skills, and overall confidence in English, adapting my approach to suit each individual's needs and goals. I take my role as a tutor seriously and am committed to providing a supportive, focused, and professional learning environment where every student feels heard and encouraged.

I offer personalized English tutoring for students at all stages of their academic journey, from elementary and middle school through high school and into college and university. My lessons are fully tailored to each individual student — whether that means building foundational reading and writing skills with a younger learner, tackling essay structure and literary analysis with a high schooler, or refining academic writing and critical thinking at the university level. A typical session begins with a check-in to understand where the student is struggling, followed by targeted instruction, guided practice, and time for questions. I believe no two learners are alike, so I adapt my tone, pace, and methods to match each student's unique needs and learning style — whether they thrive with visual tools, open discussion, or structured exercises. What sets me apart is my commitment to meeting students exactly where they are, building their confidence alongside their skills, so that growth feels natural rather than forced.
