About Adela
Hi, I'm Adela! I've always had a passion for English and graduated university with an English Literature degree in 2025. From tutoring other students, I recognised a pattern where some struggled to build confidence in English because of the way it is taught in schools. I want to rectify that through my teaching.
My approach is simple; I make lessons tailored to you in response to previous lessons and your own wants and needs. If something is not working then it gets changed so that a solution can be found together. I recognise that people work in different ways and I want to be able to offer the opportunity to enjoy English to anyone who needs some extra help in a school system too overwhelmed to cater to personal needs.

My lessons are tailor-made for each individual student as absorbing information works differently depending on the student. However, I always focus on engagement within lessons and making them interactive. If you can get a student to speak about a topic then they can gain a better understanding of it.
My lessons are typically an hour in length and for the sake of information retention I wouldn't do a lesson longer than that. Attention starts to waver after 45 minutes so superseding an hour would feel counter-intuitive.
I teach lessons for students between 11-18 including general help classes, GCSEs and A-level.
