About Evangeline
I am a first-year student at Te Herenga Waka, studying English Literature and Laws. I have a passion for English, and received English Scholarship in 2024 and 2025. I love teaching as it is fulfilling work that enables me to share this passion with others.

When tutoring, it is important for me to get to know my student and what they are learning in the classroom so I can support them the best that I can. I believe this is especially important in English, as it is a subject where personal connection to the material being studied benefits students greatly.
The tutoring that I offer should be additional to lessons from an English teacher: I help my students to understand, strengthen and build on what they have learned in class.
Depending on what the student wants and needs, my lessons typically range from thirty minutes to an hour. Shorter lessons are usually for younger students. I am happy to do longer lessons if required.
I have three years of experience as a tutor.
My lessons are for students in Years 9-12 NCEA, and Years 9 and 10 Cambridge. I am happy to work with all kinds of students, including those who need extension and those who are struggling.
