About Hannia
Hi! My name is Hannia and I am currently a college student studying to get my degree in English Literature! I love talking to people about books and writing. I especially love teaching people about the wonderful world of words. I'm big on "brain breaks" where if things start to feel overwhelming, we can take a break from the material and do something else like talking about movies or doing exercises to help us calm down and stay focused.
I hope to have a good relationship with you where you are comfortable making mistakes and meeting your goals wherever you believe that may be.
I promise that I will actively work with you and remind you that progress is not linear, so I do not expect perfection, just what your best looks like on that given day.

I believe that students must be met and challenged where they are. I would help create realistic and individualistic goals with them and encourage them so they know they can meet them.
I focus on positive constructive feedback and encouragement, including knowing when to take breaks and letting students know they should never be afraid of making mistakes.
In the end, I want reading and writing to be fun and stress-free -- such a creative endeavor should never be viewed as a chore!
