About Huibrecht
I am an enthusiastic academic who is looking forward to a career in teaching within the humanities. I am currently a BA Fine Art Honours student at the University of Pretoria with English literature as a subject in which I maintained a distinction.
In 2022, I formally tutored first years at the English Department, which sparked my interest in teaching overall. I am interested in seeing students grow to their full potential and overcome their fears within academia in order to further their abilities.

I believe in a patient and considerate learning environment where everyone can feel free to voice their concerns, struggles and opinions about the work.
My teaching methodology rests on the structure of terminology, facts, and exercise in order to understand the measure of proficiency in the subject. Thus, an explanation will be followed by a collaborative exercise whereafter the student will test his/her individual skill.
The methodology also changes to adhere to the specific needs of each student.
I am able to teach in Afrikaans and English. My lessons are aimed at students who wish to further their critical thinking and communication skills in academia and the work environment.
