About Hagar
I am a student applying for graduate school soon, about to finish my B.A. in English Literature and Philosophy. Prior to my undergraduate degree, I participated in numerous writing competitions and in student journalism, and enjoy reading in my free time! I have been tutoring international students, focusing on essay writing and construction for a few years now and have worked to help them catch up to college-level writing standards.

I like to focus my lessons on the students' specific needs! Whether that be college-level essay writing, comparative literature, or general education level English classes. Essay writing especially can be very daunting, and I try to pull personality out of all of my students. Everyone has something to say, it's just a matter of finding the tools to say what it is you mean!
