About Katie
I am currently studying English Literature at Durham University and am looking to gain teaching experience within my subject area to pursue a career in teaching after graduation. I have been passionate about reading and writing for as long as I can remember, and my aim as a tutor is to help you achieve in these areas and allow you realise the joys of engaging with literature.

I aim to provide students with a supportive environment to improve their reading and literacy skills, with a focus on the GCSE spec. I have classroom experience working with students in years 7-9 on their reading and writing skills, including on a 1:1 basis. I have also lead multiple lessons which have introduced students to key GCSE level texts and skills. A typical lesson may include personalised help with homework, structured revision guidance, or feedback on any written work ( homework/ past papers/ essay responses). Lessons may last between 30 minutes and 1 hour, and are aimed at Key Stage 3 and GCSE students.
