About Georgia
As an English literature graduate with a passion for teaching, I have dedicated the past four years to helping students enhance their communication and speaking skills. My journey in literature began during my university years, where I was captivated by the power of words and the depth of human experience conveyed through literary works. This fascination with literature inspired me to pursue a career in education, where I could share my love for reading and writing with students of all ages.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that education should be both engaging and empowering. I strive to create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and open discussion. By tailoring my lessons to the interests and needs of my students, I ensure that each session is relevant and stimulating. Whether we are dissecting the themes of a Shakespearean play or exploring contemporary poetry, my goal is to make literature accessible and enjoyable, sparking a lifelong interest in reading and analysis.
In addition to my focus on literature, I place a strong emphasis on developing communication and speaking skills. I believe that the ability to articulate thoughts clearly and confidently is essential for success in any field. Through a variety of activities such as debates, presentations, and creative writing exercises, I help students build these crucial skills. My approach is supportive and encouraging, providing a safe space for students to practice and refine their abilities.
Outside of the classroom, I am an avid reader and writer. I stay connected to the literary world by participating in book clubs, writing workshops, and attending literary events. This continuous engagement with literature allows me to bring fresh perspectives and insights into my teaching. Ultimately, my aim is to inspire my students to discover their own voices and develop a deep appreciation for the written word. I am committed to guiding them on their educational journey, helping them achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

In my English literature lessons, I aim to foster a love for reading and a deep understanding of literary works. Each session begins with a brief discussion to connect with the students' current reading experiences and interests. This sets the stage for the day's lesson and helps me tailor the content to their individual preferences and needs. By starting with familiar territory, students feel more comfortable and engaged right from the start.
The core of the lesson revolves around exploring various literary texts, ranging from classic novels and poetry to modern short stories and essays. I use a mix of reading aloud, group discussions, and individual analysis to delve into the themes, characters, and stylistic elements of each work. This multifaceted approach ensures that students not only understand the content but also appreciate the broader context and the author's intentions. Interactive activities, such as debates and creative writing exercises, further enhance their critical thinking and analytical skills.
To complement the textual analysis, I incorporate lessons on communication and speaking skills. This includes activities like oral presentations, dramatic readings, and group discussions, where students can practice articulating their thoughts and interpretations clearly and confidently. These exercises are designed to build their public speaking abilities and boost their confidence in expressing their ideas. By linking these skills directly to the literature we study, students see the practical application of their learning in real-world contexts.
Each lesson concludes with a reflective segment, where students share their insights and feedback on the session. This reflection helps consolidate their understanding and allows me to adjust future lessons based on their responses. Additionally, I provide personalized feedback and suggest further reading or activities to support their continuous improvement. My ultimate goal is to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment where students develop a lasting appreciation for literature and strong communication skills that will benefit them in all areas of life.
