About Asha
I graduated from the University of Leeds in 2023 with a 2:1 in English Literature and now I work as a librarian. Throughout my degree I worked as a tutor, helping students through their GCSEs and A-Levels.
The results speak for themselves: one A-Level student went from a D to an A* after moving her focus towards essay practice with me.
A GCSE student of mine went from a C to an A, and saw notable improvements in his history and citizenship grades too.
I love writing. It’s such an underrated skill and, while so much of education is centred around it, we aren’t taught how to write WELL. Being able to share my knowledge and expertise with people is endlessly rewarding and I know that I’ll make a great tutor for you.

Writing a good essay is hard.
Organising your thoughts, crafting the perfect argument, tying it all together with a strong conclusion— these things all take work and practice but it’s so hard to know where to start!
My lessons focus on building writing skills, no matter what your level. Maybe you’re writing a dissertation and need to polish your ideas or improve your argument, maybe you’re working on coursework for your A-Levels and you have no idea where to start, or maybe you’re writing in a time-crunch for your GCSEs.
I will help you break down the skills needed to write an essay and the things asked of you by examiners and markers so you can craft high-scoring essays with ease. What’s more, I will teach you how to evaluate your own writing, give yourself comprehensive feedback and help you self-direct your learning to become a more confident writer.
