About Ciara
I am currently attending college, aiming to go to University of Sussex to do a degree in English.
Having had experience in journalism (working for The Guardian online) I have learnt valuable lessons in punctuation, grammar and the power of language.
As a dyslexic myself, I have triumphed through English to achieve great grades and aim to be able to help people struggling with similar problems- showing them the tricks and techniques I used to overcome my dyslexia and use it to my advantage.

As we are all visual learners, I like in incorporate this into my teaching methods- inbetween simple studying methods such as flash cards, and testing we will be making posters, etc. to add these into our everyday life to capture snipppets of information everyday. I will make an individual study plan based off of the results of a preliminary test.
I like to encourage my students to do at least 1 hour of reading every week- this is a sort of homework, reading will help their English drastically, it is in and of itself one of the main contributors to helping me overcoming my specific learning difficulties.
