I am a passionate and experienced English teacher specializing in IGCSE English Literature and English Language, with 11 years of experience teaching the British curriculum. I am currently an English teacher at a leading British international school, where I have extensive experience preparing students for examinations and helping them achieve their academic goals.
I believe every student has the potential to succeed with the right guidance, encouragement and challenge. My teaching combines high academic expectations with a supportive and approachable style, enabling students to build confidence while developing sophisticated analytical and writing skills.
I am passionate about inspiring a love of literature and helping students become independent, reflective learners. My lessons are engaging, structured and tailored to each student's individual needs. I create a supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes and challenge themselves. Every lesson is carefully planned to develop the knowledge, skills and exam techniques needed to succeed in IGCSE English Literature and English Language.
Lessons focus on building confidence alongside academic achievement. Students learn how to analyse texts at a high level, construct sophisticated responses and develop the vocabulary and writing skills required for the top grades. Regular retrieval practice, model answers, personalised feedback and exam-style questions ensure students make measurable progress every lesson.
Whether a student is aiming to improve their confidence, secure a pass or achieve the highest grades, I adapt my teaching to suit their goals, ensuring every lesson is purposeful, enjoyable and challenging.
