About Jannath

I am a writer and teacher with a passion for sharing languages, especially English. I love spending time reading, writing, and communicating in English and I'm lucky to have the skill to teach it to students like you. I am a student of Literature and Creative Writing myself and completed my master's study at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with Distinction. The experiences I've gathered from my pursuits in Literature and Writing encourage me to teach the subjects to fellow learners. And I aim to teach in the most interactive and inspiring ways possible!
I am looking forward to you joining me to learn English and have fun talking, reading, and writing together. I can't wait to find out how much I can learn from you while helping you dive into the depths of this fascinating language.

About the lesson

I have three years of experience teaching English to a very diverse group of students whose language skills vary from beginner to intermediate. I have developed a syllabus and methodology of my own to effectively teach grammar, communication, and writing to my students through both face-to-face and online meetings, lectures, and conversations. In the past year, I have guided multiple students in S2, S3, NAT5, Higher, and Advanced Higher levels with their studies and successfully improved their grade and assessment scores. I also had the chance to provide academic guidance and supervision on undergraduate dissertations to my peers at university.
In addition, I studied English Language Education (ELE) as part of my bachelor degree, through which I mastered the various skill components of teaching, lesson planning, methodologies and student interaction. I usually rely on lessons that are 60-120 minutes long focused on a particular language skill, alternating between different skills on different days to teach English. But if the student aims to focus on anything in particular, I plan and prepare lessons accordingly to meet their goals. I am comfortable teaching people of all age groups and backgrounds and enjoy learning from them as I teach.
