About KANCHAN

I am a person with a positive, humorous attitude. I am skilled in communication, listening, collaboration, adaptability, empathy and patience with an ability to engage classroom presence, value in real-world learning, and exchange of best practices. I love to learn myself.
My listening skill has always enabled me to understand a student better, such as any anxieties a student may have, and help the student build their skills and confidence levels," which opens the door for them to receive and learn the lesson that is being taught.”

I try to think outside the box, add humor to my lessons and find creative ways to bring learning into the real world. As everyone learns differently, by writing, reading or hands-on.

About the lesson

My lesson starts with engaging students by greeting them. For any new lesson, new material is introduced followed by activating the learnt skill and using the language they just learnt. Play some word games, role playing etc. So that lesson is activated. Playing game tests to allow student to use what they have just learnt. To tune the student interest, give a pause in the session and ensure that student has understood what is just explained. During group tutorial, students shall be given opportunity to exchange the newly learnt technique or lesson.
Give each student an opportunity to think, and think-pair-share, discuss and debate and let them formulate their answer together.
Presenting additional context which shall increase the student’s chances of making an intellectual and emotional connection with the subject matter. To whet appetite for discovery and hone their critical thinking skills, asks your pupil to discover fun, interesting facts for themselves. Wrap up a session by tasking pupil to discover five facts about the topic at hand and present their findings at the start of next lesson.
Use of multi-media tools filled with video clips, songs or works of literature related to the topic at hand.

video chat with students and use interactive whiteboards for a bit of collaborative learning. Encourage students to bring comics, funny quotes or jokes to class and dedicate a few minutes to having a good laugh. Encourage students' creative impulses.

Follow an ultimate aim to train them to be independent learners. Finally seek feedback from students and improvise.
