About Han Shin
I graduated from the Singapore GCSE A-Levels before coming to the UK for undergraduate studies. I have formally taught English at a secondary school (in lieu of a teacher on maternity leave) for several months; that was also when I started a critical thinking elective course, in parallel, for the school, tapping on my familiarity with philosophy in academic and co-curricular settings.

I take a maximum of three students to ensure each receives the attention, consideration, and thoughtfulness from me they deserve.
I welcome students who seek personalised guidance - whether in their academic work, or in further, independent exploration of the subjects they are interested in. One or two sessions could be used to understand where the student is at, thereafter I will provide both critique (to what is already known) and extension (to what has not been thought or seen before). I am particularly effective in providing feedback to written work, but also have a reasonably expansive engagement with the humanities to design courses tailored for the student's enrichment. Learning/teaching will be dynamic - meaning that we will explore what is most helpful and fruitful for the student along the way, both in format and content. Teaching will not be confined to the "tutoring hours" - I will provide support and resources (readings, email correspondences, etc.) beyond charged sessions with your best interests in mind.
