About Sophie
During my English Language and Linguistic degree at the University of Sussex, I achieved a 2:1 with my highest modules achieving 1st's in Child Language and English in the USA. I have also completed an MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice therefore I am familiar with all aspects of degree-level writing to help you in a range of areas including essay writing and critical analysis. I am particularly passionate about child language and regional grammar and phonetics, so if this is something you struggle with, please get in touch!
I have taught English abroad in Spain to children aged from 14-16 to consolidate their pronunciation and grammar whilst also encouraging them to grow more confident in their second language.
I am aiming to complete my PGCE next September to become a primary school teacher so I would love the opportunity to help older students with their English skills beforehand.

I am a recent English Language and Linguistics graduate who is keen to pass on their knowledge and experience to teach current students working towards a similar degree. A typical lesson would be approximately an hour, but this is flexible depending on the type of tutoring necessary.
