About Savyna
I graduated with an Upper Second studying BA English Language and Literature at the University of Nottingham, then earned a Merit at the University of Nottingham, studying an MA in English Language and Literature. My research interests include marginalized bodies in literary works, intersectionality, postcolonialism, and queer theory, and I have long been interested in the works of Smith, Camus, Radcliffe, and Shakespeare. While in my undergraduate days, I had taken on a tutor role, covering English Language and Literature as well as coursework and exam prep. In addition, I volunteered with a refugee shelter, teaching English at a primary level to Myanmarese refugees. At the postgraduate level, I have also participated in research and editorial projects. I assisted my lecturer with editing her upcoming work on researching language, gender, and sexuality at work.

I have had experience as an academic tutor throughout my undergraduate and postgraduate years, coaching students in English Literature. My tutoring has helped students score upper seconds and firsts in English Literature, Comparative Literature, and Malaysian Literature. I offer one-to-one guidance, tailoring the sessions to suit your individual needs and abilities. English Literature differs in engagement and difficulty for each person, so I will work with you to craft a personal plan to achieve your respective goals. I want you to enjoy the process! Although my sessions are at the undergraduate level, this can be easily adapted to the appropriate stage. Having studied English and Comparative Literature, I can transfer literary theory and textual information knowledge to a secondary and undergraduate-appropriate level. Regardless of level, I try to be encouraging and ensure that our sessions are fun and helpful.
