About Ashley
Growing up, I would seek out a tutor for every subject I struggled in. It was never something I was ashamed of since I was able to have a one-on-one session with someone who could show me new paths to take towards a final goal for my classes. It helped me see that there was not one specific way to solve a puzzle which is something I intend to pass on to my students.

I work towards personalizing lessons for each student in order to effectively improve their skills in reading and writing. Each child/teen has their own way of retaining information which is a priority for myself to recognize on the initial meeting. I mainly focus on K-6 but I can work with high school students as well. I understand that the child/teen may have summer school or summer jobs. I have flexible hours and am always willing to rotate days if needed.
