I’ve been tutoring English for over 5 years, working with a wide range of students at GCSE and A-Level across all major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, WJEC Eduqas & Pearson iGCSE). During that time, I’ve helped students move from Grade 4 to Grade 6+ in just a few months, build confidence in essay writing and textual analysis, improve understanding of core texts like Macbeth and prepare effectively for both coursework and timed exams.
I am familiar with all major exam boards (AQA, OCR, Edexcel, WJEC, WJEC Eduqas and Pearson iGCSE). I specialise in core GCSE texts such as Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, An Inspector Calls, The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Lord of the Flies, A Christmas Carol and Animal Farm. At A-Level, I specialise in The Duchess of Malfi, A Streetcar Named Desire, Othello, Coriolanus, Dracula, The Bloody Chamber, William Blake's poetry, The Handmaid's Tale, The Gothic and assisting with coursework.
I tailor every session to the student's needs and learning style, whether they need support catching up, refining top-grade essays, or tackling unseen texts.
I am always available in between lessons to clarify any areas of confusion, can set and mark homework and am happy to schedule a quick consultation to discuss goals for tutoring.
