About Lilly
I’m a hardworking student who averages grade 9 in English literature and language who enjoys helping others understand and enjoy learning. I went from a grade 6 to a grade 9 in a year so I understand how to develop writing to fit to the exam mark scheme to maximise marks for writing. I want to teach because I know how much confidence grows when things finally “click,” and I’d love to help younger students feel proud of their progress and be motivated to learn.

As a student who has just finished my exams I understand the processes necessary to improve in English GCSE and will help you grow your English skills and grade. For improving writing I will help students understand the way to write essays and analysis to fit the exam mark scheme.
Before lessons begin I will offer a free consultation to understand the areas needed to improve and see if I’m the right fit for you. Lessons would be targeted towards growing areas of weakness and I will mark pieces of writing and test knowledge on quotations and English skills hoping to develop your overall English grade and confidence writing.
The texts I took for English literature were: Macbeth, A Christmas Carol, DNA and Power and Conflict poems.
If your texts are different then I will create my lesson plans to accommodate that.

I will not be travelling to tutor in person - my tutoring sessions will be online through Microsoft teams.
Lessons are payed for by the hour, if I go slightly over the hour you will not be charged. Before lessons start I would discuss what amount of hours a session you would be looking for to fit your schedule.
