About Kayla

I am a passionate educator with over 8 years of tutoring experience, dedicated to guiding learners in their journey with the English language. My top-percentile skills in grammar, combined with my academic background in marketing and communications from Arizona State University, allow me to offer lessons that are both rigorous and engaging.

My extensive experience includes working with special needs children, a journey that has equipped me with patience, adaptability, and a keen understanding of diverse learning styles. Rest assured, I approach every lesson with utmost professionalism and a commitment to each student's success.

On a lighter note, outside the classroom, I'm an avid cat lover! So, if our sessions ever get interrupted by a purring cat or two, know that they're just as eager to be part of your learning experience.

I am excited to work with you, ensuring each lesson not only enhances your skills but also instills a genuine love for the language. Let's embark on this academic adventure together!

About the lesson

As a tutor with over a decade of experience, I believe in a holistic and student-centered approach. Each lesson is tailored to the learner's needs, ensuring they grasp the fundamentals while also igniting their passion for the subject. By integrating interactive techniques such as role-playing, story building, and multimedia resources, I ensure each lesson is both educational and engaging.

A typical lesson begins with a brief review of the previous session, addressing any queries or areas of uncertainty. This is followed by an introduction to the new topic, interactive discussions, and practical exercises that solidify understanding. Each lesson concludes with a recap and a preview of what's next, ensuring continuous learning and progression.

My decade-long journey with students has given me a keen insight into diverse learning styles and challenges. I emphasize real-world application, ensuring students don’t just learn English but also understand its relevance and utility in everyday scenarios. Furthermore, my lessons are infused with cultural nuances, idiomatic expressions, and contemporary usages, preparing students for both academic and real-life situations.

My lessons cater to a wide range of students – from those just embarking on their English learning journey in elementary school to advanced learners in high school or those prepping for college. Whether you're aiming to ace your exams, improve conversational skills, or dive deep into literature, I'm here to guide you every step of the way.
