About Sammi
Hi! I’m Sammi, an English Education graduate with a passion for teaching and helping students become more confident in using English. I currently have experience teaching in both government and international schools, where I work with students in classroom settings and plan lessons to meet their learning needs.
I believe learning English should be encouraging, engaging, and enjoyable. As a tutor, I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and improve at their own pace. My lessons are mainly suitable for Primary and Form 1–3 National School students, and I look forward to helping each student reach their learning goals!

My approach to tutoring is centered on creating a supportive, engaging, and student-focused learning environment where students feel comfortable learning and making mistakes. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons according to their individual learning needs, strengths and areas for improvement.
For my English lessons, I use a combination of explanation, guided practice, interactive activities, discussions, questioning and exercises to help students develop their language skills. Depending on the student’s needs, lessons may focus on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, speaking or overall English proficiency. I also aim to connect lessons to real-life situations and familiar topics so that students can understand how English can be used beyond the classroom.
A typical lesson lasts around 1 hour, although the lesson duration can be adjusted according to the student’s age, level, and learning needs. I usually begin by reviewing previous learning, introducing the new topic or skill, providing guided practice, and ending with exercises or a short review to check the student’s understanding.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in English Education and currently have experience teaching in an international school. Although I am at the beginning of my tutoring journey, my educational background has provided me with knowledge of teaching methodologies, lesson planning, classroom management, and English language instruction.
My lessons are mainly suitable for Primary School students and Form 1–3 students from Malaysian National Schools. I welcome students of different abilities, whether they need help strengthening their foundations, improving their school performance, building confidence in English, or developing their overall language skills.
Lessons are conducted online, with materials and activities tailored to each student's level and learning goals.
