About Ella

I have a Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and I am currently completing my Bachelor of English Education. I also work in a high school, which allows me to stay closely connected to the curriculum and understand the challenges students face in the classroom. Through both my studies and professional experience, I have developed a strong understanding of how to support students with reading, writing, essay structure, and building confidence in English.

English has always been a passion of mine. In my spare time, I love reading, writing poetry and articles, and exploring different forms of storytelling and expression. My love for language also connects closely with my love of travel. Experiencing different cultures and meeting people from around the world is what first inspired my passion for teaching English as a foreign language.

In our sessions, we focus not only on improving English skills but also on building confidence and developing effective techniques for reading, writing, and analysing texts. Together, we work on practical strategies that students can apply independently so they feel more capable, prepared, and confident in the classroom. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their skills, and reaching their full potential.

About the lesson

I would love to support anyone who is interested in learning English as an additional language or strengthening the skills they already have. My approach to tutoring is flexible and student-centred; rather than delivering the same lesson to everyone, each session is tailored to suit the individual learner’s goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. Whether we meet online for a quick 10–15 minute daily practice session or for a longer lesson once a week, we will work together to create a learning style and schedule that works best for you.

I have my Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and I am currently working at a secondary college in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne. In my role, I support students aged 12–18 as they develop their English skills, including reading, writing, grammar, punctuation, listening, comprehension, and information processing. Alongside academic skills, I also work closely with students to help them build confidence in using English, strengthen their communication and social skills, and feel more comfortable and engaged in the classroom environment.

I also tutor learners of all ages and backgrounds, and every lesson is designed with the individual student in mind. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning space where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing effective English techniques, and building the confidence to use their skills in everyday situations, school, or work.
