About Scarlette
Hello! My name is Scarlette, and I’m an English teacher with a unique international background and a passion for helping students find their voice in the English language. I was born in South Korea, and throughout my life, I’ve lived and studied in Canada, England, and the United States. I earned my degree in Psychology from a university in Florida, where I also deepened my interest in communication, learning, and language development. With a background in both ESL education and speech support, I’ve worked with students of all levels—especially middle and high school students in grades 6, 10, and 11—as well as individuals who have experienced speech difficulties. This has given me a strong understanding of both the emotional and technical aspects of speaking confidently. I believe that learning to speak English is not just about grammar and vocabulary—it's about building confidence, understanding how we think, and creating a space where students feel safe to express themselves. That’s the kind of environment I aim to develop in every class.

Are you looking to improve your English speaking skills with confidence and clarity? My class is designed to help students, especially Korean middle and high schoolers (grades 6, 10, and 11), become more fluent and comfortable speaking English in real-life situations.
With a background in psychology and experience working with people who have speech difficulties, I understand the challenges that come with speaking a new language. I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students can express themselves without fear of making mistakes.
Each lesson focuses on:
Building fluency and pronunciation
Expanding vocabulary for daily conversations and school topics
Practicing real-world speaking situations (e.g., interviews, presentations, casual chats)
Boosting confidence and communication skills
My goal is not just to teach English, but to help students speak with confidence, clarity, and personality. Whether you’re shy, nervous, or just want to improve your speaking, this class is for you!
