About Alicia
I bring both heart and experience to my work as a tutor. My background began in elementary education, where I taught students in grades one through three through the Montessori philosophy; and developed a strong foundation in patience, clarity, and individualized instruction. Working with young learners taught me how to break complex ideas into simple, approachable steps and to meet each student exactly where they are.
Today, through Parker University, I tutor at the collegiate level, supporting my peers with academic writing, English, and course content across disciplines. This experience allows me to blend foundational teaching skills with higher level critical thinking and analysis.
Whether guiding a child through reading comprehension or helping a college student craft a strong essay, my approach is calm, encouraging, and detail oriented. I strive to build both confidence and competence, helping every student discover their voice and reach their full potential.
