About Natalie

Hi! My name is Natalie and I graduated from Willetton Senior High School with a final ATAR of 96.85 in 2022. I am currently in my first year studying Bachelor of Arts (double majoring in Psychological and Behavioural Science and Law and Society) at the University of Western Australia.

As a recent high school graduate, I totally understand what you are feeling on your ATAR journey. Even if it is to pass English, get into your dream uni course or the desire ATAR that you want to achieve. My goal as a tutor is to help you teach effective study techniques, understand the topics from the syllabus in depth, apply them when completing practice questions and providing emotional support when needed.

Throughout my ATAR journey, I managed to work part time on the weekends at the Fiona Stanley Hospital COVID clinic, mentoring lower school students after school, play Basketball on Thursday nights, volunteered at my little sister’s primary school for Work Experience, and have time to spend time with my family and friends. In which I had to study effectively and utilise my time wisely.

I hope that I can help you by giving you my tips on how to time manage your studies so you can have time to do your extracurricular activities.

About the lesson

Tutoring Psychology and English ATAR for high school students and English for Primary and Lower Secondary Students.

I will mainly cater to each student’s individual needs. Heavy content subjects, like Psychology, need to utilise effective study strategies to understand the content. A lot of students struggle when it comes to exams, as they don’t know HOW to apply the concepts learned to exam questions. In which it can lead to losing easy marks. However, English is a subject that needs to sharpen your writing expression, structure, knowing different language terms and not just memorising your essay. For these 2 ATAR subjects, I will teach you a variety of effective study strategies for you to use for your daily revision and for exams. In which these strategies helped me to get my ATAR and awards.

I was in the top 10 in my year group for English ATAR and was ranked 5th in Psychology. I got asked if my composing piece could be published in the 2023 Good Answers Guide from SCSA. You will have access to my study notes, past questions and a variety of supplemental materials which are helpful for studying.

I am also opening up to tutor primary school students and lower school high school students. I will tutor mainly English and Maths for primary school students- Essay writing, creative writing and NAPLAN preparation. For lower school students, I will tutor English and help you prepare for your senior school studies; like preparing for the rigorous English ATAR course. Last year I mentored a year 9 student for Mathematics and English at the school library after school. By the end of Term 3, she developed her confidence in approaching different style questions that you can get in Math tests and her writing flow has improved for English
