About Meret
Hi, I'm Meret, a Mechanical Engineering student at George Washington University with experience tutoring elementary and middle school students in math. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their abilities and develop strong problem-solving skills.
My teaching approach focuses on making math simple and understandable. I begin by explaining concepts in a clear and easy-to-follow way, then work through practice problems with students step by step. Once they feel comfortable, I provide additional problems for independent practice to reinforce their understanding.
I believe every student can succeed in math with the right support, patience, and encouragement. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and growing their confidence.

My approach to tutoring is to first explain each concept in a simple and easy-to-understand way. Once the student feels comfortable with the material, we work through practice problems together step by step. After that, I provide additional problems for the student to solve independently so they can apply what they learned and build confidence. Throughout the lesson, I encourage questions and adapt my explanations to match each student's learning style.
