About Ziena
I am a second-year Engineering student at the University of Toronto with a strong background in math and science. I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, taking Higher Level courses in Mathematics, Chemistry, Global Politics, and English, along with Standard Level Physics, which introduced me to university-level concepts early on.
I also worked at Kumon for four years, helping children and high school students improve their understanding and learning skills. Through this experience, I learned how to adapt my teaching style to different students and create a supportive learning environment. Since I recently went through many of the same academic challenges myself, I am able to connect with students in a relatable and approachable way while helping them build strong problem-solving and independent learning skills.

My lessons are personalized to each student’s individual needs, goals, and learning style. I focus on understanding what the student is currently working on in school, the areas they would like to improve in, and any specific requirements they may have. Lessons are designed to help students strengthen their understanding, build confidence, and grow at a pace that is comfortable for them. If needed, I can also provide more advanced material to help students go beyond what they are learning in class. Overall, my tutoring approach revolves around supporting the student and helping them succeed in a way that works best for them.
