About Meherwaan

- I tutor extensively in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Computer Science, at GCSE and A-level.

- I achieved 4 A*s in these subjects myself. I am very proficient with solving problems and exam technique. When teaching I emphasise not just the method, but how to analyse, save time, and present answers in a concise and factual way. This is imperative to saving time and quickly gaining marks in time-pressured exam situations.

- I have worked with several children and young adults, ranging from Years 7 to 13. I am very understanding and confident in working with a variety of different people. I want my students to feel comfortable, and to enjoy their learning.

- I also offer tutoring for University Entrance exams, such as the ENGAA and TMUA, as well as personal statement writing and workshop sessions.

- I am flexible and dependable, and I pride myself on my effective communication and the quality of my work.

- I am experienced and able to work with individuals that have ADHD or other specific needs. I am very caring and open :)

About the lesson

My teaching method is going over the relevant material with YOU. I will walk you through some example questions on the topic you need help with. You can ask me to stop and repeat anything at anytime! After covering background, we will work through questions and papers together.

- I make use of Excel to track lesson records and progress.

- I use a drawing tablet and pen, screensharing OneNote. This allows me to guide the student live through a problem, and to demonstrate worked solutions on demand. The files after each lesson are always provided for the student's notes and revision.

- I discuss the tutee's needs and strengths with them, formulating lesson plans and academic goals. I personalise and tailor lessons, taking individual characterstics and work ethics into account.

- I make extensive use of Past Paper Questions, to hone students' skills in solving problems.
