About ZAKARIYA
I’m a Materials Science & Engineering graduate with extensive experience teaching and tutoring university students in mathematics and physics. During college, I spent six semesters working as a tutor, Math Coach, and PASS Leader, helping students succeed in challenging STEM courses.
I’ve worked with students from many different academic backgrounds and skill levels, which taught me how to explain the same concept in different ways until it clicks. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and developing a genuine understanding of the material.
Beyond tutoring, my engineering background gives me practical experience applying mathematics and physics to real-world problems, allowing me to connect what students learn in class to how these concepts are actually used.

I specialize in Calculus and Physics I, with lessons designed to make challenging concepts easier to understand and apply. I teach all levels of calculus, from introductory calculus through more advanced coursework, as well as college-level Physics I.
My approach focuses on understanding rather than memorizing formulas. I break problems into clear, logical steps, explain why each step works, and then work through practice problems with you until you can solve them independently.
