About Abigail
Hi! I'm Abby, a mechanical engineering graduate with a minor in mathematics. I've always loved math and problem-solving, and I enjoy sharing that passion with others. With years of tutoring experience and a perfect 36 ACT score, I've had the privilege of helping students of all ages build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
I believe that everyone is capable of succeeding in math, and I love helping students discover that they are often much more capable than they think. Seeing that moment when something finally clicks and a student gains confidence in their abilities is one of the most rewarding parts of tutoring for me.

My approach to tutoring is centered around figuring out what works best for each individual student and tailoring lessons to fit their learning style. No two students are the same, so no two lessons will look exactly alike! Whether a student learns best through examples, visual explanations, step-by-step guidance, or lots of practice, I adapt my teaching style to meet their needs.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material and identifying any areas of difficulty or confusion. From there, we'll work through problems together, focusing on understanding the "why" behind the process rather than just memorizing formulas. As students become more comfortable with the material, we'll transition into more independent practice to reinforce concepts and build confidence.
I work with students ranging from elementary school through early college and offer support in a variety of math subjects, as well as ACT preparation. Whether you're struggling with the basics, trying to improve your grades, or looking to challenge yourself with more advanced material, I'm here to help.
I truly believe that math can be for everyone—we just have to find the approach that works best for you. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to help them become more confident, independent learners who aren't afraid to tackle challenging problems.
