About Sujata
Hi, I am Sujata. I hail from India and have been residing in Montreal for five years now. I love teaching students and this is one of the factors I chose to join academia as a PhD student at one of the prestigious universities in Canada.
I started my higher education with Engineering in Computer Science and its connection with human brains have eventually made me to do research in this area, so, yes, I am a neuroscientist by heart and choice and an engineer by experience!
Coming from a mixed educational background, I have had challenges in the past, and to overcome that I experimented in my own way to teach myself courses from Engineering as well as Science. Nevertheless, to reach this stage of my life, I had to climb up stairs with good academic scores, especially in courses like Maths, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English.
Hence, I know the challenges that I faced as a student in school and in university. I have also supervised students at undergraduate and graduate level, not to forget even school students (my relatives) at home.
So, trying out my teaching with your kids can turn out to be a nice one!

If you are a school student or a parent of a student and you want the student to clear their basics in Maths and Science, the best time to achieve this goal is at the elementary level; the sooner the better!
This is why I target children from elementary and primary school with null to good knowledge about the courses. Having studied and supervised students so far in English, my primary teaching language is English. However, I do speak fluently in Hindi, Bengali and Manipuri too (with basic knowledge of Tamil)!
If you think the student needs to start basics from scratch or is lacking behind in their class, then I am the best choice for you!
My teaching methodology is self-adapted example-styled approach. While I can work to help students' assignments and prepare for exams, my primary intention is to ensure that the student has understood the why-how-what of the subject matter with logic and conscience. So, I use daily-life examples to solve problems and teach the students to ask questions.
Being a researcher myself, I believe in the art of asking questions to be able to solve problems on your own.
