About Stephanie Y

A professional tutor since 2011, I have worked in a wide range of forums. I have worked for private in-home tutoring companies, for schools/colleges in their support centers, and for private individuals on a freelance basis. I support students in their classes with homework, quizzes, and exams, or individuals who just want to brush up on their skills, especially after a long break from school.

About the lesson

I specialize in working with high school, college and adult students who struggle with understanding math concepts and who may lack some fundamental math skills.

I get to know the student so that I can use examples or scenario that relates to their life experiences. This approach provides the student with learning hooks to approach new concepts.

Most students who have math challenges lack one or more arithmetic or algebra skills regardless of the class they are taking so I focus on these areas to support students in building up their confidence to tackle more advanced skills and complex concepts.
