About Rini
I am an enthusiastic piano tutor with 8 years of experience, having successfully taught around 300 students. My learners include teenagers, college students, and adults seeking to improve their skills, perform confidently, or prepare for music exams.
My teaching philosophy focuses on combining technical foundations with creativity and musical expression. I emphasise posture, hand coordination, finger independence, scales, rhythm, sight-reading, and music theory. I also help students interpret music and connect emotionally with their pieces.
Lessons are structured to balance technical exercises, repertoire, and theory. Beginners build confidence through foundational exercises and simple pieces, while advanced students refine performance skills and explore complex compositions.
Many students have achieved excellent results in graded exams and performed confidently in recitals.
My mission is to help students become confident, expressive, and independent pianists who enjoy their musical journey.

My teaching methodology for piano is student-centred and growth-focused. I adapt my instruction to match each learner’s style, ensuring lessons are engaging and effective. I emphasise building solid fundamentals such as scales, arpeggios, hand coordination, and timing accuracy.
I guide students through repertoire that challenges them while remaining achievable. Flexibility allows me to modify lesson plans based on the student’s comfort and improvement level.
Collaboration is encouraged through open communication and shared goal planning. Positivity is central to my approach, helping students overcome fear and develop performance confidence. In addition to piano, I teach harmony, music theory, ear training, and sight-reading to develop complete musicianship.
