About Katsiaryna
With over 6 years of coaching experience, I teach chess to kids and adults through tailored private and group lessons, both online and in-person. My passion for chess began at age 5, leading to extensive participation in junior national and international tournaments. In 1999, I earned the title of Candidate Master of the Republic of Belarus, guided by exceptional teachers, including International Masters, who instilled in me a solid classical approach. I have also competed in many prestigious US tournaments, such as the World Open, US Open, Potomac Open, and Chicago Open. In June 2014, I tied for 1st place at the 7th NY International Chess Tournament (U1900 section) and achieved a score of 5/5 to win the U1600 tournament at the Marshall Chess Club in 2012. Additionally, my husband, an active Grandmaster, provides me with valuable insights that enhance my coaching.
