About Fiona
I am a fun 3rd year medical student at UCL, currently intercalating studying Oncology iBSc, perfect for students looking for help to improve their grades up to GCSE level in Biology, Chemistry or Maths and up to IB/A-level in Biology. I also love to work with younger children or adults who have an interest in learning extra science in fun ways. I also work with prospective medical students giving advice on Medical school interview technique and personal statements. I am happy to adapt to different learning styles and am guided by my students in how they like to learn. I want to provide the tools for my students to achieve their full potential with hard work, as I believe that everyone can achieve good grades with input from a tutor and by staying dedicated. I try to make sessions as interactive as possible and will sometimes include games and activities to keep things interesting. I love science, but am aware that not everyone does, I aim to give all of my students the opportunity to achieve good science grades and hopefully increase their understanding, interest and passion for the subject. Fiona tutored my daughter for two years in the run up to her GCSE exams. My daughter had very little confidence in her maths and science lessons and so was finding it very difficult to perform to the best of her ability. After just a few sessions with Fiona, it was notifiable to both me and her teachers at school that she was both contributing more in class and attaining higher grades.
