About Dee
I am a dedicated violin tutor with 8+ years of teaching experience, having taught around 300 students from beginner to intermediate levels, including high school students, college learners, and adults. My teaching philosophy is based on clear communication, patience, and consistency, as I believe these are important for successful learning.
I focus on building strong basics such as posture, finger placement, bow control, and sound clarity. I explain each concept in a simple and understandable way so students can apply it confidently. I also include exercises and songs that keep lessons interesting and engaging.
One of my key achievements is helping students gain confidence and perform without hesitation. My goal is to create a comfortable and motivating learning environment.

My teaching approach for violin emphasises communication, personalised instruction, and real-life application. I adapt lessons according to each student’s learning style and skill level to ensure concepts are clear and achievable. I focus on posture, bowing, fingering, tone production, and musical expression, reinforcing these skills through practical exercises and performances.
I also integrate music theory, rhythm practice, ear training, and sight-reading, helping students become well-rounded musicians. Real-life examples, such as playing songs from their favourite genres or performing in small settings, make lessons relatable and motivating.
My goal is to provide a structured yet creative environment where students enjoy learning, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for music.
