About Leif

I’m an English tutor with over 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing, with a focus in Applied Linguistics. My passion lies in helping students succeed in English for Academic Purposes (EAP). I’ve supported many university students and international learners as they prepare for higher education. I specialise in guiding students through academic writing, from planning to final drafts. Whether it's research papers, essays, or reports, I help break the process down into clear steps. I also teach how to understand academic lectures, take effective notes, and build strong academic vocabulary. One of my strengths is helping students improve their referencing skills, structure logical arguments, and stay focused on their thesis. I aim to build not just writing skills, but also the confidence to express ideas clearly and persuasively. My sessions include interactive tasks, discussions, and practical strategies that make learning engaging and relevant. I understand the challenges of academic English, especially for learners in new environments. That’s why I create a supportive space where students can ask questions and grow without pressure.
