About Dr Emily
I can:
* help you with your project, essay, research, uni or job application. *support you to manage any anxieties and difficulties in your current course or job,
* encourage you in times of transition, as you make changes in life.
Together we can kickstart the
process of reviewing your life, finding your passion, re-discovering your enthusiasm, changing your lifestyle, or building your personal and professional confidence.
You'll find me down to earth and informal, but with a PhD in my subject and over a decade's experience teaching undergraduates, A-level students, and adults re-entering education, you can be confident in my ability to help you meet your goals (or work out what they are!) I'm a qualified Counsellor and Coach with experience supporting undergraduates, postgraduates boarding school students, as well as graduates, workers and those struggling with mental health, to navigate the challenges of study, relationships and life.
I have further training in supporting Autistic students and those who suspect they might be autistic. I also have experience helping those with high sensitivity, eating disorders, anxiety and depression to remain and to thrive in education or work.
I typically offer one-hour sessions either in your own home, favourite coffee shop or online. Your choice!

We'll start where you're at. I'll take time to listen to your current struggle and your hopes for our work together.
If you're coming with a clear aim, we'll take stock professionally and emotionally, review your work, writing or application together. And then get stuck in to discussing ideas, exploring barriers and resistance, or scoping possibilities together.
If you're coming to me feeling dissatisfied but unsure of where to start, we may begin with an informal MOT of your life, relationships, health and support system. Then we'll see what feels important to work on first.
My aim is for our sessions to spark your own inspiration, so you have a clear idea of what you want to work on, experiment with, or reflect upon in the week. I want you to go away from our time together feeling empowered and knowing that you have this space to check in, share difficulties and move forward in life with my support.
