About Vivienne

I’m Vivienne, holding a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and six years of tutoring experience that includes serving as a peer facilitator in UC Berkeley’s organismal biology labs. My students praise my energetic teaching style, my ability to demystify even the most challenging topics, and my unwavering commitment to their success. Whether you’re aiming for top grades, mastering complex research concepts, or simply igniting a lifelong passion for biology, I’m here to guide you every step of the way with expertise, enthusiasm, and personalized attention.

About the lesson

I begin by assessing your current grasp of biology—whether you’re navigating introductory high school topics or tackling first-year university coursework—and together we establish your learning goals and timelines. In our one-to-one sessions, I walk you through every facet of the living world using immersive storytelling, dynamic digital simulations, and real-life case studies that bring cells, genetics, evolution, and ecosystems vividly to life. I pause frequently for discussion, encouraging you to ask “why” and “how,” and I adapt my explanations until each concept clicks. After every lesson, I provide comprehensive study notes, custom-designed practice problems, and a clear, step-by-step revision plan tailored to your exam format—be it AP, IB, SAT subject tests, or university midterms. You’ll receive ongoing support via email for follow-up questions, and I’ll share curated resources—animated tutorials, interactive quizzes, and concise summary sheets—to reinforce your understanding between sessions.
