About Ivy
I am a Chess tutor with more than 20 years of teaching experience and have successfully taught over 1580 students. My passion is helping learners strengthen concentration, patience, strategic thinking, and analytical reasoning through high-quality chess instruction.
Throughout my coaching career, I have worked with beginners, club players, school competitors, tournament participants, and advanced learners aiming to improve ratings and performance. This experience allows me to provide highly effective and personalized coaching.
Many students have improved ratings, achieved tournament victories, strengthened problem-solving skills, and developed confidence in competitive environments through my guidance and mentorship.

My Chess lessons are designed to help students develop advanced strategic thinking, tactical awareness, analytical reasoning, and competitive confidence through structured instruction and practical gameplay. Students learn through tactical puzzles, practical training games, opening preparation studies, positional exercises, strategic planning sessions, and detailed game reviews. Lessons focus on understanding ideas, improving decision-making, and developing long-term strategic thinking rather than memorizing moves.
Advanced learners work on master-level game analysis, advanced endgame theory, tournament preparation, psychological resilience, performance optimization, and competitive strategy. Students develop the ability to think critically under pressure while maintaining confidence and consistency.
